I grew up traveling. As a young child, my dad would have a month off in the summers and would take the family mostly camping and backpacking. We would go to the Appalachian Trail, out west to the Teton's, Utah, Grand Canyon, and Rocky Mountains. All over the US! The only states that I haven't been to are North and South Dakota.

I attended Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina earning a Bachelors in Music Education and Performance. After college, I played violin in the Spoleto Festival in Italy. Then I was off to Graz, Austria to play another festival. After that I was off to Munich, Germany, then London, England, and backpacking in Ireland. I ended up in Cork, Ireland to teach in the public schools. Then back to Tallahassee for graduate school at FSU to earn a Masters in Music Education and Performance. Once finished with college, I headed to Tampa to play with the Florida Gulf Coast Symphony (now the Florida Orchestra).

In 1985, I backpacked throughout Europe, from England, Ireland, south of France, on up to Finland. During a trip in 1986 to Greece, Egypt, and Israel, I dove in the Red Sea, rode a camel near the pyramids, and took the ferry to many Greek islands. During 1990, I lived on a sailboat, traveling to Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. Later in 1991 I traveled throughout Australia, from the Great Barrier Reef, to Sydney and Tasmania. Then it was off to live in Auckland, New Zealand for 6 months, performing in the Auckland Symphony, and seeing the north and south island.

In 1997, I spent several weeks in Papua New Guinea, traveling from the highlands to see the "sing-sing show", to the Sepik river where I collected lots of interesting carvings, and then to the sea where I scuba dived one of the best spots in the world.

In 1999, I took a 2-week safari throughout Kenya and Tanzania, and dove off the Seychelles, an island off of Kenya. In 2000, I  went on a tour of France, China, and diving in Kona, Hawaii. In 2001, I went on an Alaskan cruise from Vancouver, B.C. to Anchorage, and went scuba diving in Grand Turk. In 2002, I traveled to the south Pacific to the island of Rarotonga in  the Cook Island's.  I went scuba diving and experienced the south Pacific culture. In the summer of 2003, I traveled to Finland and went on a Russian River tour. In the summer of 2005, I  traveled to Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. In the summer of 2006, I traveled to the Cayman Islands for scuba diving and a trip to Peru. In 2007, I traveled to Thailand, diving in the Solomon Islands in the south Pacific near Fiji, Copper Canyon in Mexico and played the Fiddlestix Fiddle Fest in California. In 2008, I had a great adventure tour to Costa Rica for a week.

This year I took a diving trip to Indonesia. I dove on a liveaboard dive boat in Raja Ampat off Sorong, West Papua(fomerly Irian Jaya), We did some muck diving in Lembeh Straits in Sulawesi, and spent 3 days in Ubud, Bali.

I have always taken pictures on my trips but has found this a passion in the last few years. I was using a Canon Rebel XT but have upgraded to a Canon 50D with a Sigma 18-200 mm, and Canon 70-300 lens.  I enjoy taking pictures that capture the moment in peoples faces.  Recently I started taking underwater photos using a Nikon Coolpix camera with a Ikelite housing.
